Uwharrie Farm is a small, three generation, family farm nestled in the rolling hills of the Piedmont Region of North Carolina. Since we (Larry and Judy McPherson) purchased the family farm in 1987 we have worked to produce vegetables, fruits and baked goods which we have sold at local farmers markets, restaurants and health food stores.
Larry and I take stewardship of the land seriously. We manage the gardens and greenhouses with organic practices and have placed a conservation easement on our 120 acre farm. This easement ensures that the farm will be preserved as farmland and never divided no matter who owns it in the future.
Over the years we have hosted several summer apprentices, a CSA program and provided jobs for numerous part-time workers.
